'Tis the Season for Sifting!

Luke 22:31-32 NKJV

And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail….

We are in a season of sifting! What does that mean? It means that, right now, satan is trying various tactics on many of us in the Body of Christ to separate us from the Word of faith that brings salvation.

If you’re believing God for change in any area of your life, the Word of God is your lifeline to that transformation. Satan knows this and is attempting to steal the Word in your heart. How? Through offense.

Offense, put simply, is a stumblingblock. It’s a thought presented to you to cause you to stumble in your walk of faith. It’s a satanic idea designed to divert you from the right path.

The serpent diverted Eve with a satanic idea about the forbidden fruit.

He diverted Simon Peter through fear of death from being associated with Jesus.

He attempted to divert Jesus with the riches and kingdoms of the world, but he failed.

I believe satan is going to fail with you, too! I believe you’re going to let the Word of God convert you. You’re going to let the seed of the Word sown in your heart all this year - through your private study and through the teaching of the Word from the pulpit of your local church - stay rooted and produce a harvest of revelation and results.

The year is not over. There’s still time to receive from God what you’ve been believing for all year.

However, there’s also still time to abort your faith if you decide to let satan sift you.

Don’t allow it to happen!

Stand steadfast in the faith, equipped with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11). If you resist the devil, he must flee from you (James 4:7). And when you have endured, you will be crowned with life which is what the Word produces in you (James 1:12)!
